The First State Employment and Training Program brings together a variety of workforce development organizations and partner agencies with a primary goal of assisting residents of Delaware to gain employment and assist employers in finding qualified workers.
Our programs change to reflect the changing needs of employers throughout the state. We are currently focusing our efforts in two areas:
Senior Employment
Culinary Arts Training
Our senior employment programs include the Senior Companion Program and the Senior Community Services Employment Program.
Our culinary arts programs include the "Now We're Cooking" program - an innovative collaborative effort to train and employ high school aged students - and our Adult Culinary Arts Training Program.
