Story
Founders, Sussex County Community Action Agency, Circa 1965
We will never forget where we came from...
In 1965, a group of concerned citizens came together with a common goal - to fight the scourge of poverty that was impacting their friends and neighbors in rural Sussex County. This group formed the Sussex County Community Action Agency which later became First State Community Action Agency serving the entire State of Delaware. Today, 57 years later, we are still serving.
