First State Hosts De-Lead Open House
October 28, 2015--
To raise awareness of the consequences of lead poisoning among children and pregnant women who live in homes built before 1978, First State Community Action Agency held a De-Lead Open House event in Georgetown during National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (NLPPW), October 25-31. Senior Companions Recognized for Service
On October 29, 2015, First State's Senior Companion Program held their 34th Annual Appreciation Luncheon at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover Delaware. Eighty-three (83) seniors (companions) were recognized for their dedicated volunteer service in the Senior Companion Program. National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week is October 25-31, 2015
To raise awareness of the consequences of lead poisoning among parents and pregnant women who live in homes built before 1978, First State Community Action Agency is participating in National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (NLPPW) October 25-31 through the following events and activities: Lead Awareness Essay Contest & Dinner The essay is open to all children ages 6-10 years old. Students must write no more than 10 sentences on the dangers and prevention of Lead Poisoning. E
