Culinary Graduates Taste Success!
On Friday, January 8th, First State's Adult Culinary Arts Training Program recognized six graduates for their successful completion of the 16 week culinary course under the instruction of Chef Lee Stewart. The students underwent more than 360 hours of intense study in basic and advanced culinary arts and 80 hours of job shadowing and internship experience. Women Lunching for a Purpose
On January 6th, First State Community Action Agency hosted the Lunch with a Purpose event at the Atlantic Sands Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This event was held to raise awareness and support for First State’s Senior Companion Program (SCP) helping homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities.
