March Community Dinners at First State
First State is hosting $1 community dinners TWICE a month—1st and 3rd Thursdays. Bring your family and friends out to enjoy a hearty, healthy meal with us. This month’s dinners will take place on Thursday, March 1st & 15th from 6pm-8pm at First State Community Action Agency (308 N. Railroad Ave) in Georgetown, DE. Agency Early Closing - February 16
All First Sate Community Action Agency's offices will close early on Friday, February 16 for staff in-service. The New Castle, Dover, and Georgetown offices will be opened from 8:00am - 11:00am on Friday, February 16 and will close for outside business immediately after. All offices will reopen during normal business hours on Monday, February 19.

Afterschool Children participate in Jefferson Awards Leadership Conference
On February 3rd, students from First State Community Action Agency's Afterschool Program participated in the Jefferson Awards Youth Leadership Conference in Seaford, Delaware. They joined more than 100 students from across Delaware and spent the afternoon attending workshops which focused on Community Service, Humanitarian Efforts, and Leadership. The ultimate goal was to teach kids how to be great leaders and prepare them for the future.
