SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SCSEP)

Here's what people are saying about the Senior Community Service Employment Program...

"Older workers are important to the development of a diverse workforce which helps in serving a diverse customer base that includes many older people.  They serve as role models for younger people and excel in such areas as customer service..."

If you are 55 years of age or older, you can earn money while you learn through on-the-job training!

The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides part-time training opportunities in support of community service activities and works to transition program participants to unsubsidized jobs that will provide them with greater economic self-sufficiency.  Older workers needing to acquire or brush up on job skills are placed at diverse partner non-profit and government agencies where there are paid a subsidized salary while they learn.  When they are ready and the opportunity arises, they are placed in unsubsidized employment and successfully transitioned back in to the mainstream workforce.

In addition to on-the-job work experience and training, the program provides subsidized wages, a yearly physical, referrals and supportive services and access to informative workshops covering topics such as job seeking skills, employment, health, safety, retirement and finances.  Most importantly, getting people 55 and older back to work again gives them a renewed sense of pride and accomplishment!

Please call us TODAY if you have jobs available for our trained participants.  SCSEP provides on-the-job subsidized training opportunities at for-profit businesses that are preparing to hire a program participant.

Over the next decade, the number of Americans age 55 or older will increase by almost 30 percent.  Americans are now working well beyond the traditional age of retirement.  By 2030, about 70 million Americans will be 65 or older.  Employers who adapt to this changing landscape NOW by hiring older workers will have an edge over the competition.

If you are a non-profit agency or government office, SCSEP can provide your organization with temporary manpower in return for providing training opportunities for our participants!
