Is Your Home LEAD Safe?

If you have a child under 5 years old and your home was built before 1978, you may be eligible for help removing the lead-based paint hazards for free.

De-Lead Delaware applications are currently being accepted for single-family homes and rental units in Kent and Sussex Counties. Recipients must meet incomes guidelines and reside within designated zip codes. Call First State Community Action Agency now at 302-856-7761 to see if you qualify.

If you are accepted in to the program, De-Lead Delaware will test your home for lead and a team of trained professional will resolve any lead hazards issues that are found. When the work is complete, De-Lead Delaware will test your home again to make sure it is lead-safe.

Sussex County: Stop by our Georgetown office (308 N. Railroad Ave), Mon - Wed & Fri from 9am - 4pm to apply for assistance.

Kent County: Stop by our Dover office (655 S. Bay Road) on Thurs from 9am - 3pm to apply for assistance.

For more details or for help completing an application, call 302-856-7761 and ask for Sharon McPhatter.
