Congratulations to high school students from the Indian River, Woodbridge, and Cape Henlopen high schools for their successful completion of the Now We’re Cooking vocational foodservice training program during the 2015-2016 school year. First State held graduations for the Now We’re cooking classes from Indian River School District on May 23rd, Woodbridge School District on May 24th, Cape Henlopen School District on May 25th, and Milford School District on May 26th.
Students received certificates of completion and showcased their culinary skills through demonstrations (cutting techniques), meal preparation, catering and hostessing. These students did a tremendous job in displaying the skills they’ve gained and by providing a delicious meal and excellent service to the guests. First State is pleased to report that a few of the senior graduates have already obtained jobs in the culinary and foodservice fields. First State congratulate these hard working students for a job! We commend chef instructor, Charles Webb, teachers and staff for a phenomenal job in working with these students. Special thanks to the school /district administrators and funders for your continued support of First State’s Now We’re Cooking program.
