We've got something wonderful cooking up for this month's community dinner!! On Thursday, July 21st, our dinner will feature special music performances by the Delaware Choral Society Ensemble.
The Delaware Choral Society Ensemble is an extension group of the Greater Choral Group. It serves as the community service arm of the larger choral group. Composed of 16 singers and directed by Mr. James Byrne, accompanied by pianist Bryn Roscoe.
Thursday's concert will include "A Cohan Salute" by George M. Cohan including songs like "Give My Regards to Broadway" "Harrigan" and"You're a Grand Old Flag." "Unchained Melody" as recorded by The Righteous Brothers and featured in the movie, Ghost. "Java Jive" as recorded by Manhattan Transfer. Irving Berlin's America with songs like "Alexander's Ragtime Band" "Putting on the Ritz" "Blue Skies" "Always" and "God Bless America". Plus music of M-G-M including songs like "That's Entertainment" "The Trolley Song" "Good Morning" "Over The Rainbow" "Singing in the Rain." You're invited to hear the Best of Broadway!!
The dinner will be held at First State Community Action Agency (308 N. Railroad Avenue, Georgetown DE) and will begin at 6:00PM. Cost to attend is just $1 per person.
