First State Committed to Building Wealth, Employment and Housing Opportunities

First State's Housing Counseling Manager, Marva Hammond, was recently awarded a scholarship by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) to attend a Fair Housing Training in Dallas, TX. The NCRC, along with its grassroots member organizations, works with community leaders, policymakers and financial institutions to champion fairness in banking, housing and business and to create opportunities for people to build wealth. Marva completed a week of intensive training on managing a successful housing counseling program and affirmatively furthering fair housing. She received certificates of completion for each course. Marva's purpose for attending the training was to ensure that FSCAA's services are aligned to support Delaware residents and provide them access to wealth-building, employment and housing opportunities in the areas they choose. If you're looking for assistance in housing (i.e. home-ownership) or wealth and asset building, call First State at 302-498-0454 and ask to speak with Marva!
