First State Youth attend "Students In Action" Conference


Seaford-- Five youth from First State’s Afterschool programs joined more than fifty Delaware teens for the "Students In Action” Mid-Winter Conference on Saturday, February 9, 2019. During the conference held at Seaford High School, youth participated in several workshops to build their service and leadership skills. Such topics presented were Presentation Skills, Personal Accountability, Situational Leadership and Life Mapping. “Students in Action” is a movement spearheaded by the Jefferson Awards Foundation and is the nation’s leading non-profit dedicated to fueling personal growth and leadership through public service.
