Celebrated nationally each May, Community Action Month highlights the impact of Community Action Agencies across the United States. During this month, we reflect on our collective efforts to combat poverty and empower individuals and families towards self-sufficiency within their communities.


First State Community Action Agency is honored to acknowledge the recent proclamation from the Sussex County Council recognizing May as Community Action Month. This official recognition underscores the vital role Community Action plays in strengthening our local communities.

Their collaborative spirit and commitment to our mission have been instrumental in enabling us to deliver critical services and programs to the residents of Sussex County.
