Holiday Magic in Motion: First State Youth Light Up Georgetown

Last night youth from our after-school homework program brought holiday magic to the Georgetown Christmas Parade — and what a night it was! 🎄✨


Our float was transformed into a full Gingerbread Wonderland 🍬🍭 complete with glowing lights, candy swirls, and the biggest smiles you’ve ever seen. The kids showed up bundled, brave, and bursting with excitement — waving to the crowd, laughing with friends, and proudly representing First State.


These moments — joy, creativity, community — are what make our work so meaningful. Thank you to every youth who participated, every parent who came out to cheer, and every staff member & volunteer who helped bring this float to life. You made magic happen. ✨
