Are you interested in building a career in the food service industry? First State Community Action Agency’s Adult Culinary Arts Training Program is designed to help participants gain practical skills, industry-recognized training, and hands-on experience that can lead to employment.
The next class begins November 3, 2026 at our Georgetown location.
During this 12-week evening program, participants will complete 280 instructional hours and receive training in a commercial kitchen under the direction of a Certified Chef Instructor. The program also includes internship training, hands-on lab experience, soft skills and resume development, job interview preparation, field trips, ServSafe certification, and assistance with job placement.
Program Details
Start Date: November 3, 2026
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: 211 North Race Street, Georgetown, DE 19947
Length: 12 weeks
Training: 280 instructional hours plus internship experience
Participants must be at least 18 years old, be Delaware residents, meet program eligibility requirements, and be willing to obtain and maintain employment.
