A HUGE Thank You to the Delaware General Assembly!

Yesterday was a truly special day for First State Community Action Agency! We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Delaware Senate and the Delaware House of Representatives for their official proclamation recognizing Community Action Month!

This proclamation holds immense significance as May is dedicated to recognizing the vital work of Community Action Agencies nationwide. It was particularly meaningful as yesterday also marked our annual Legislative Advocacy Day! Our dedicated team had the privilege of visiting Legislative Hall in Dover to showcase the impactful work we've done over the past year, share the outcomes that are transforming lives in our communities, and advocate directly for the critical needs of the individuals and families we serve across the entire state.

A special shout-out and heartfelt thanks to our incredible Board of Directors and staff whose hard work, dedication in organizing this important event, and passionate engagement with legislators made our Advocacy Day a resounding success! Your tireless efforts truly amplify the voice of our communities.

We are incredibly thankful for the unwavering support our legislators have shown First State Community Action Agency over the years. Your commitment to addressing poverty and empowering communities is invaluable.

Community Action Month is a time to highlight how we work diligently to provide opportunities, foster self-sufficiency, and create brighter futures for our neighbors throughout Delaware. We're proud to be a part of the solution in our state!
