This weekend, First State Community Action Agency was proud to participate in the Action & Advocacy Fair hosted by Women’s March Sussex - Delaware. The event brought together organizations, advocates, and community members from across the region for an afternoon focused on engagement, connection, and community action.

Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to meet new community members, share information about our programs and services, and engage in meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing Delaware families. From housing and workforce development to youth engagement, senior services, and case management support, these conversations reinforced the importance of accessible resources and strong community partnerships.

Events like the Action & Advocacy Fair play an important role in strengthening communities. Lasting change happens when organizations and residents come together to listen, collaborate, and work toward solutions that create opportunity and improve quality of life for all.

We are grateful to Women’s March Sussex - Delaware for organizing this event and creating a space where community voices, advocacy, and partnership could come together in such a positive and impactful way.

First State Community Action Agency remains committed to working alongside partners, advocates, and residents across Delaware to expand opportunity, strengthen families, and build stronger communities.
