Gratitude in Action

On Thanksgiving, we witnessed a powerful display of what community can accomplish together.
First State Community Action Agency, the Coolspring Community, Miracle One Foundation, Tailored Care LLC, the Sunshine Circle Club, and the Already Amazing Charitable Foundation joined together to prepare and deliver over 600 Thanksgiving meals to our homeless neighbors, homebound seniors, and other.
This effort was strengthened by the tremendous support of the Sussex County Alumane Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Harry K Foundation. Their volunteers, energy, and compassion helped ensure that every meal was delivered with dignity, care, and love.
Many hands, many hearts, one mission: to make sure no one was forgotten on Thanksgiving.
We are deeply grateful to every partner, every volunteer, and every organization that came together to make this possible. This is community in action.
