Last Saturday night brought holiday lights, big smiles, and a special kind of excitement you don’t find in a classroom. ✨
Our afterschool homework program youth had the opportunity to participate in the Bridgeville Christmas Parade, and it was a night full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From waving to neighbors along the route to soaking in the music and festive energy, the kids had an absolute blast being part of a community tradition. 🎄
Experiences like this are a powerful reminder that strong youth programs go beyond academics. While homework support is important, so is giving young people opportunities to connect, explore, and feel a sense of belonging. Community events help build confidence, social skills, and positive relationships — all of which support success in school and in life.
Being part of something bigger helps kids see themselves as valued members of their community. Moments like these create joy, strengthen bonds, and show our youth that learning and growth happen everywhere — not just at a desk.
We’re incredibly grateful to our program staff for making this experience possible and for always finding ways to create meaningful, well-rounded opportunities for the youth we serve. 💙
