First State Community Action Agency will celebrate 61 years of service on Monday, November 16, 2026, at Delaware State University.
This year’s celebration, Second Chances, Stronger Communities, reflects the heart of our work: creating opportunities for people to move forward, rebuild, and strengthen the communities we all share.
We are honored to welcome nationally recognized criminal justice reform advocate and author Kemba Smith Pradia as our keynote speaker.
Tickets will be available soon.
We are currently seeking event sponsors and community partners who would like to join us in celebrating 61 years of creating opportunity and strengthening communities across Delaware.

What a wonderful celebration coming up for First State's 61st Anniversary! It's inspiring to see such commitment to community service. The way events like these foster connection reminds me of the Slope game; both require skill and perseverance, whether it's navigating challenges on-screen or building strong relationships in our communities. Looking forward to celebrating!
