Juneteenth Celebrations in Sussex County

First State Community Action Agency is excited to announce our participation in two significant Juneteenth celebrations across Delaware this year! We invite you to join us as we honor this important day of freedom and unity, and learn more about how our agency can support you and your family.

Our team will be present at both the Georgetown and Lewes Juneteenth events, bringing valuable program information, fun giveaways, and our dedicated staff ready to connect with the community.

Event 1: Juneteenth Celebration in Georgetown

Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025 Time: 11:00 AM (Parade at 10:00 AM) Location: 316 S. Railroad Avenue, Georgetown, DE

Join us in Georgetown for a vibrant community celebration! This event, sponsored by The Richard Allen Coalition and other community partners, promises a day packed with:

Event 2: 4th Annual Celebration of Freedom and Unity in Lewes

Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025 Time: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Location: George H.P. Smith Park | Johnson & DuPont Avenues | Lewes, DE

The City of Lewes African American Heritage Commission hosts this fantastic, free community-wide family event, and we are thrilled to be part of it! This celebration is a wonderful opportunity to foster unity and reflect on the significance of Juneteenth.
